How I work

Integrative therapy, shaped around you

Integrative means I don't apply one fixed model to everyone. I draw on several therapeutic approaches and let your needs, your pace and what actually helps decide the shape of the work.

The approaches I draw on

Humanistic and person-centred

The core of how I work. You are the expert on your own experience; my role is to offer genuine attention, acceptance and understanding.

Psychodynamic

Where useful, we look at how earlier relationships and experiences shape present-day patterns and reactions.

Existential

For questions of meaning, identity, choice and life transitions: what matters to you now and what you want to move towards.

What the process looks like

01

First contact

You send a short message or call. We arrange a free, no-obligation phone call of around fifteen minutes.

02

First session

A fuller conversation about your situation, relevant history and what you would like to be different.

03

Ongoing sessions

Weekly fifty-minute sessions at a regular time. We review together as we go, and you set the pace.

04

Ending well

Where possible, we plan the ending together so there is space to reflect on what has changed.
